Jarvisburgh, NC – A head on collision on US 158 in the Jarvisburgh area of Currituck County has resulted in one woman dead.
19-year-old Michael Rodriguez was driving Northbound when she crossed over the center line and collided head on with another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle was 31-year-old Monica Smith. Both women were transported to the hospital. Smith has since been released, Rodriguez died on the scene.
It has not been determined if alcohol or speed were a factor. This accident is still being investigated.
