Update: Police have now arrested and charged 28-year-old William E. Burks in connection to the murder of Devon Coates.
Police charged him with 2nd degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and wearing body armor while committing a crime.
He is now being held in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail without bond.

York-Poquoson Sheriff's officials responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Barham Boulevard overnight.
It happened at 12:28 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013. Crews arrived on scene and found a white male, who had been shot at the residence.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Devon Coates. Officials say he lived at the residence.
