A 21-year-old man was arrested Friday for the 2008 murders of two teenagers in Newport News.
Floyd Taybron was apprehended by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Gang Unit at Habersham Drive and Jefferson Avenue during a vehicle stop.
He was wanted on direct indictments for two counts of murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school and gang participation.
The charges stem from the December 30, 2008 murders of 16-year-old Barry Richardson and 15-year-old Keon Flemming.
Taybron would have been 16-years-old at the time of the homicides.
