Portsmouth, Va. – A man is wanted in Portsmouth for robbing a local business using a handgun, police tell NewsChannel 3.
On Tuesday, June 25 at 6:35 p.m., Portsmouth police received a 911 call related to a robbery at Supreme Petroleum, located at 2315 Woodrow Street. An employee called 911 after the suspect left the business.
A female employee reported that a man wearing a mask entered the business armed with a handgun. The suspect grabbed the employee by her clothing, and demanded she take him to where the money was kept. The victim was then ordered to lie on the floor while the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money, and personal items belonging to her. After taking the items, he left the area in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’5 – 5’9 wearing dark clothing. He was wearing brown work boots and black gloves.
