Portsmouth, Va. - An 18-year-old student at IC Norcom High School was arrested Tuesday night after being caught with several items stolen from the school.

Kaivon Luvell Lee and a 16-year-old boy were approached by Portsmouth Police officers on Tuesday night around 7:10 p.m.

The officers discovered that the two teens had office equipment including printers, cell phones, DVDs, calculators and radios in their backpacks.

Each item was stamped with "Property of Portsmouth Public Schools" and the lot was estimated to be worth approximately $1,200.

School officials were unaware of the recent theft.

Both teens were detained and questioned. The 16-year-old was released to his parents and will not face charges.

Lee was arrested and charged with one count of grand larceny.

The items were seized and will be returned to the school.
