Norfolk, Va – According to Norfolk police, a man drowned at Ocean View Beach shortly after 5:00 Thursday, in the 1000 block of East Ocean View Avenue.
Medics attempted unsuccessfully to revive the man. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A witness says the man was struggling to walk out of the water when he fell down and went under.
He was pulled to shore soon after.
Police have not yet released the man’s name and the incident is still under investigation.
