Suffolk, Va. – A Suffolk man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a young girl, who police say is a family member.
On July 5, police arrested 33-year-old Travis Lashon Mcquillia. He is charged with two counts of abduction to extort money or immoral purposes; forcible rape; forcible sodomy; two counts of object sexual penetration; and two counts of indecent liberties with a child by custodian.
Police say the victim is a female family member between the ages of 13 and 17 years old.
The incidents occurred on Stacy Drive where the family lived previously, as well as the 2200 block of East Washington Street in the city of Suffolk, during 2009 to 2012.
The investigation is ongoing.
Mcquillia is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
