The U.S. Coast Guard assisted two people in the water Wednesday after their 16-foot catamaran capsized approximately a mile south of Emerald Isle, N.C.
911 dispatchers in Carteret County contacted the Coast Guard around 1:00 p.m. with reports of two people in the water.
Crews were dispatched from Coast Guard Station Emerald Isle to assist and arrived around 1:15 p.m.
The crews were able to right the boat and escort the boat back to its mooring.
There were no injuries.
