Newport News, Va. – A man was hurt after crashing his SUV into a building in Newport News early this morning, police say.
The crash happened near Jefferson Ave. and Wilcox Ave. around 5:30 a.m.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries, according to Deputy Fire Chief Kenneth Lay.
No other injuries were reported; no one was inside the building at the time of the accident.
All fire units cleared the scene at 6:30 a.m.
