Chesapeake, Va. – A driver was killed Friday morning after striking a tree, police tell NewsChannel 3.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Paxson Miller of the 700 block of Corapeake Drive in Chesapeake.
It happened at 7:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Blueridge Road, located in the Great Bridge area of the city.
Police say Miller was driving eastbound on Blueridge Road, when he lost control of his Ford F350, went off the roadway, and struck a tree.
The vehicle caught on fire and was put out shortly by police and fire crews.
Miller was pronounced dead on the scene.
The accident is currently under investigation.
