Norfolk, Va. - The Tides hosted Charlotte Sunday night, and it was Norfolk that got off to a quick start scoring four runs in the first inning with RBIs from Eric Thames, Alex Liddi, Ronny Paulino, and Chris Snyder.
But Charlotte crept at it, scoring seven runs helped in part by Tyler Greene's homer in the fifth. Norfolk would add a run in the sixth but take the loss seven to five.
The four-run lead tied the largest Norfolk has blown in a loss this season, matching a loss at Gwinnett on July 8.
