Dare County, N.C. – A man was charged after deputies say he broke into a home on Hatteras Island on Sunday.
The victim told authorities that he was returning home from a walk on the beach when he saw someone in his house.
Deputies were able to capture the suspect who was not too far away. They say nothing was stolen from the home during the incident.
Alan Erickson Clark was charged with breaking and entering, and he was released on $5,000 bond.
