Manteo, N.C. – John David Hatchell has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon after deputies say they received a report about an assault.
They got the call from security at the Outer Banks Hospital about someone who was in the emergency department suffering from a knife wound.
The victim was interviewed while at the hospital and reported the assault.
Deputies arrested and charged Hatchell in Manteo.
He was released on $5,000 bond.
