UPDATE: The gas leak located in the 200 block of Cheyenne Road was secured at 11 a.m.; scene is now clear, according to Jack Crandle of the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
The gas leak located at S Witchduck Rd. and Princess Anne Rd. was secured at 11:20 a.m. Units remain on the scene; the road is still closed between Bonney Rd. and Princess Anne Rd. on southbound Witchduck Rd. The roadway is expected to open around 1 p.m.
Crews are on scene of a gas leak at S Witchduck Rd. and Princess Anne Rd., according to Beach police.
It happened at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday morning. Virginia Beach fire crews responded to the scene, according to Jack Crandle of the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
Virginia Natural Gas crews are also on scene.
Southbound traffic on Witchduck Road toward Princess Anne Road is being diverted down Bonney Road and Office Square, and back onto Princess Anne Road.
No road closures at this time.
