Suffolk, Va. – A 53-year-old Suffolk jail officer was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual battery of a female inmate, NewsChannel 3 has learned.
The alleged incidents occurred at Western Tidewater Regional Jail on July 23, 2013. Police say the female inmate was cleaning at the facility.
Randall Hatfield is charged with Abduction, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Sexual Battery, and Object Penetration.
Hatfield is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
