A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven store at 4756 Baxter Road around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Virginia Beach Police say the armed and masked teen entered the store and demanded money from the 7-Eleven clerk.
The teen fled on foot after obtaining money from the victim.
An officer canvassing the area after the robbery spotted a suspicious vehicle parked near a 7-Eleven with a possible suspect inside.
During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect in the car was responsible for the robbery and was subsequently arrested and charged.
The teen is charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm, and wearing a mask in public. He is currently being held in the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Center.
