Norfolk, Va. - Investigators are trying to figure out how an overhaul walkway collapsed in a Norfolk apartment building.
It happened around 5 a.m. on Monday, August 5, in the 1900 block of E. Ocean View Avenue. Five apartment units were affected; there are no injuries reported at this time.
The building has been condemned, officials say.
The residents on the upper levels of the building used stairs on the side of the apartments, so they could exit safely.
The incident is still under investigation.
The property manager is reserving hotel rooms for residents that were affected, NewsChannel 3 has learned.
