Suffolk, Va. – A worker was taken to the hospital Monday night after a work truck backed into him on I-664 while he was in a work zone.
This happened at the Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel according to State Police Dispatch.
Calls came in at around 8:51 p.m.
The worker suffered minor injuries according to State Police.
The work being done in the zone is a VDOT project but this incident involved a private contractor.
