Norfolk police arrest one man, search for his brother in fatal shooting

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police have arrested one man and are searching for his brother in a shooting last week on Princess Anne Rd. that left one person dead and another wounded.

Police have arrested 22-year-old Latreal D. Bland of Norfolk and are searching for his brother, 29-year-old Lavonta Montrell Bland.

Both brothers are being charged with Murder, two counts of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Police say on August 2ng around 4:30 am the responded to a report of shots fired in the 800 block of Princess Anne Rd. and found 20-year-old La’ron Daquan Davis dead from a gunshot wound. A second victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is expected to survive.
