Norfolk Police and Fire-Rescue responded to the 6200 block of Tidewater Drive Friday morning after a tractor-trailer and armored car crashed into a building.
Authorities say the tractor-trailer and Garda armored car collided on northbound Tidewater Drive before they both hit the building.
The tractor-trailer was attempting to make a wide right turn when the armored truck came into the tractor-trailer’s blind spot.
The tractor-trailer struck the armored truck, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and hit the building.
A significant amount of diesel fuel spilled as a result. A commercial cleaning crew has responded to take care of the cleanup.
The driver and passenger of the armored truck suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The tractor-trailer driver has been issued a summons for an improper right turn.
