Kitty Hawk, N.C. (WTKR) - The Beach Food Pantry and Kitty Hawk Rotary Club have partnered up to hold a food drive.

The food drive will be held at Harris Teeter in Kill Devil Hills on Thursday, August 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

More than 11% of Dare County residents live in poverty and the Beach Food Pantry needs help to feed approximately 900 school-age children this year.

You can help fill the bus with the following items:

  • Canned Pasta,
  • Potatoes-Instant/Mashed,
  • Beans-Canned,
