A memorial ceremony was held Tuesday to remember two Fort Eustis soldiers, killed in action last month in Afghanistan.
Sgt. Eric T. Lawson and Spc. Caryn E. Nouv were assigned to 359th Transportation Company, 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sust. Bde., which deployed to Bagram Air Base in January 2013 in support of ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’.
The two were killed when enemy forces attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire, according to the DoD.
