Virginia Beach, Va. – A house fire is now under control in Virginia Beach, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
Crews responded to a report of a fire in a single family home located in the 500 block of Pinewood Road at 10:46 a.m. .
Within minutes, firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire on the second floor. The fire was deemed under control at 10:55 a.m. Four engine companies, one ladder company, and two rescue units responded.
The fire damage is light, with moderate smoke damage to the home, officials say. The cause is currently under investigation.
One person was injured, and transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
