Norfolk Police investigated a suspicious/unidentified box truck in the 300 block of South Main Street on Thursday.
Police say a security guard from Colonna’s Shipyard notified them about truck around 10:40 a.m.
The security guard told police that the truck had been sitting there for a few days and appeared to be suspicious.
The Norfolk Fire Department and the bomb squad also responded.
Police were able to find the truck’s owner a short time later. The truck contained building supplies, paint and aerosols.
