Suffolk, Va. - Three sailors based in Norfolk have been charged with rape in Suffolk.

Police say the victim told them she was assaulted by three acquaintances while she was visiting an apartment on College Drive August 16th.

22-year-old Daniel  Keith Saunders has been charged with abduction, extorting money or immoral purposes, forcible sodomy and forcible rape.

24-year-old Freddrick Lamar Thompson has been charged with abduction, extorting money or immoral purposes, object sexual penetration, forcible sodomy and rape.

20-year-old Michael Jerame Willis has also been charged with abduction, extorting money or immoral purposes, rape, object sexual penetration and forcible sodomy.

At one point, records say, all three sailors were sexually assaulting the woman at the same time.

Records say the woman and Freddrick Thompson were engaging in consensual sexual acts in his apartment last Friday. The document says Thomspon then started raping her after Michael Willis and Daniel Saunders came in the room to rape her, too.

The criminal complaint says "she felt scared it would be worse if she resisted."

Thompson and Saunders are assigned to the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Willis is assigned to the Fleet Readiness Center in Norfolk.

All three are charged with rape, sodomy and abduction.

They're scheduled to be in court next week.

All three men are now being held without bond in Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
