Portsmouth, Va. - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in Portsmouth.
911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of Carol Lane and Allard Road came in at 1:11am.
Officers responded and found the man dead in the street with an apparent gunshot wound to the head in the 100 block of Carol Lane.
One neighbor tells NewsChannel 3's Gabriella DeLuca he heard at least half a dozen gunshots.
Police have not yet identified the victim. The incident remains under investigation.
