Virginia Beach/Chesapeake Va. – Power was out for about 8,000 customers in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake on Friday afternoon after an equipment failure at a substation.
This happened at around 1:30 p.m.
Dominion Power says everyone was restored by 3 p.m.
Most of the customers were in Virginia Beach in the Indian River Rd. area and some were also in Chesapeake.
