Newport News Police are looking for a man who was spotted on surveillance video attempting to break in to the Mambo Grill at 6139 Jefferson Avenue on August 28th.
Police say the security system detected the man trying to gain entry. Video shows the a light skinned male, wearing Adidas sneakers, t-shirt and shorts walking to the rear of the building and trying to pull open the rear doors.
The camera in the front of the building was pushed upward and out of position.
Management at the Mambo Grill said the front glass door had weather strips removed.
The suspect is approximately 5'8'' - 6'0'' tall in his late teens to late 20s.
