UPDATE: Police say the gunshot victim has been identified as 48 year-old Jeffrey Nelson Riddick of the 800 block of Goff Street. Riddick was pronounced dead the next day at 7:15pm.
Norfolk, Va. - Police are investigating a shooting in Norfolk.
That shooting happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday night on Ballentine Boulevard and Peterson Street.
The call came in at 11:20 p.m. A caller reported a male gunshot victim in the 3100 block of Peterson Street.
Police say the victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in serious condition with life threatening injuries.
Norfolk police have not released much information about the victim.
The suspect left the scene in a vehicle, police say.
So far, no arrests have been made.
