Woman sought in Hampton robbery investigation

Hampton Police are looking for a woman in connection with a robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon in the 900 block of North Mallory Street.

Police say they received the call about the robbery at 1:43 p.m.

The victim allegedly approached two unknown people asking if either of them had a cigarette and then followed them to the back of an apartment complex.

One of the two people then brandished a firearm and assaulted the victim while the other suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and cash.

Shanessa Voneek Pittman, 26, is now wanted for robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

At this time in the investigation there is not a complete description to provide for the second suspect involved.
