The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is searching for whomever left a dead deer carcass on the front porch of a home in the 100 block of Mallard Road.
The homeowner found the deer on Wednesday.
Sometime overnight the small deer had obviously been placed on the door mat in front of the front door and then gutted.
The internal organs of the deer were laid out on the porch.
