Virginia Beach, Va. - A suspicious package was reported at the Whole Foods Market on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach on Friday evening.

At around 5:20 p.m., emergency crews received a call about a suspicious man who was walking around the Whole Foods store.

Employees reported that he was pacing around and acting unusual. This caused concern among some of the workers.

While they were out collecting carts, they saw a cart that had a taped up cardboard box inside of it.

Based on recent events, the workers took a heightened level of caution and notified public safety.

Units responded and the bomb squad was called. They took an x-ray of the package and found that it was empty.

There was no hazard police say and the suspicious man was never in contact with the box.

The scene has been cleared.
