Court Documents: Woman offered money to make child porn

Posted

Chesapeake, Va. - Why would a 22-year-old Chesapeake mom make child porn? A recent federal arrest points to money as the reason.

NewsChannel 3 discovered federal court documents that spell out how investigators believe Kanealeen Latouche was convinced to make the videos with an offer of $15,000.

Documents say she was persuaded by a Virginia Beach man known to set up and film sex parties.

Chunks of the documents are blacked out, and some of what you can read is just too vulgar to even mention.

According to the documents, Latouche learned about a man named "Mike" through Facebook.

She was led to believe he could help her make $6,000 by going to a party to have sex. But within hours of sending the stranger a text message, he convinced her to make child porn videos.

Investigators found a long text message exchange between the two.

According to the documents, an agreement of $15,000 was made and the videos were emailed, but "Mike" never paid up.

Instead, documents say he threatened to make the videos public unless Latouche paid him.

It was Latouche's estranged husband, documents say, who found four to five of those videos when he was looking through Latouche’s phone.

Tracking the email address and the phone number, the text messages were sent to lead agents to a Virginia Beach man named Robert Scott, Jr.

He was arrested and will be charged in U.S. District Court.

Federal Court documents say Scott was arrested several times before in Virginia Beach for extortion and larceny.

Latouche was arrested in late July by Chesapeake police and charged with 30 felonies.
