Portsmouth, Va. - A police chase resulted in a crash in Portsmouth Thursday afternoon, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
It happened around 2 p.m. Police officers spotted a wanted person in the area of High Street and Harbor.
Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Larry D. Parker, but Parker refused to pull over.
Police chased the vehicle down High Street until the vehicle crashed into a 7-Eleven sign at High Street and Elm Avenue.
Parker was transported to Maryview Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and arrested upon his release late Thursday night.
He was wanted on charges of driving with a suspended license and also charged with possession of cocaine, hit and run, eluding police, and contempt of court.
