Hampton, Va. – A retired Hampton teacher is one million dollars richer after playing Mega Millions this month.
Deborah Taylor taught elementary school students for 30 years for Hampton City Schools and now she has a little extra retirement money.
Taylor matched the first five numbers on September 17th and used the Megaplier to increase her prize to one million.
She bought her ticket at Race Coast Mart on East Pembroke Avenue in Hampton.
The winning numbers were 6-15-27-31-39 and the Mega Ball number was 25.
