Man wanted in connection to double homicide captured in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – A 22-year-old man who is wanted in connection to a double homicide in Berkeley, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged in Virginia Beach for grand larceny.

Police say they received information that Jacob Theophilus Philip had ties to Virginia Beach and may have been near the Oceanfront.

The Oceanfront Community Policing Squad started to work with the Warrant and Fugitive Squad searching the area.

On Tuesday night at around 10:24 p.m, an officer spotted a vehicle in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven on Virginia Beach Blvd. and they say the suspect was inside. Philip was then arrested.

Police say Philip stole the vehicle from Town Center.

He has been charged with Grand Larceny and is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
