Newport News, Va. – The Peninsula Health District, Virginia Department of Health, is offering the seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine on a walk-in basis to anyone who wants the vaccine beginning Monday October 7, 2013.

The vaccine is available at the Peninsula Health Center, Immunization Clinic, located at 416 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Newport News.

The Immunization Clinic hours are:

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost of the flu vaccine is $25.00.

The Health Department will bill Medicare Part B. Other insurances may be accepted, officials say. Please bring your Medicare or other health insurance card with you. For more information, please call (757)594-7410.
