Update: Alzheimer’s patient missing in Newport News now home safe

Update: Police say missing Alzheimer’s patient, Luther Agee, has returned home safe. Agee told police he became confused and drove around until he was able to make his way home.

Newport News, Va. – Newport News police need your help to find a missing Alzheimer’s patient.

They are looking for 80-year-old Luther Dillard Agee, who was last seen in the 400 block of Putney Lane where he and his wife were visiting in Newport News at 1 p.m. on Monday. He lives in the 300 block of Timberline Loop in York County.

Agee is described as a white male who is about 5’10”, he weighs about 160 lbs and he’s bald with gray eyes. He was wearing a light blue jacket, khaki cargo pants and a khaki baseball cap with “U.S.A.” on it.

Agee is driving a 2010 silver Ford Escape with Virginia license plates “MYJOIE.”
