Kansas City, MO (KCTV) — A Northland teen is charged with killing his uncle over chores.
Police were called to a home on Northeast 51st Terrace near Bristol Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday on a reported shooting.
Authorities said that was where 17-year-old Tye Lee got into a fight with his 37-year-old uncle, Robbie L. Lee.
A witness told police the uncle told his nephew he was lazy and to go upstairs.
The witness claims Tye Lee then said, “I’ll stand up to you.” Police said he then admitted to grabbing a gun and shooting his uncle.
When officers arrived, they found the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside the home.
Police said the suspect was also located inside the home and was immediately taken into custody.
Tye Lee has been charged with second-degree murder.
