Man charged in late-night stabbing in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk police have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing of a man late Tuesday evening.

23-year-old Benjamin Hassle Wade III was charged with Assault, Shoot, Cut, Stab or Wound and Robbery after he allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Shayne Christopher Blose at an acquaintance’s residence on Pruden Boulevard following a fight.

A woman drove Blose to Sentara Obici Hospital where he was initially treated for multiple stab wounds before being transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for surgery.

He is currently in stable condition.

Wade is currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail on no bond.
