Portsmouth, Va. - The hunt is on for a wanted man.

Portsmouth police say he raped his neighbor and then held her hostage on October 12th.

They believe 29-year-old Antonio Thorne knocked on the door of a woman he knew.

When she let him in, police say he used a weapon to threaten her and then raped her twice.

Thorne is still on the run.

Police say Thorne is 5’6 and weighs about 170 pounds.

He has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and abduction.

Police say he lives in the 3600 block of Princeton Place in Portsmouth, that is also where he is accused of raping the woman.

Investigators say the woman was only an acquaintance.
