Chesapeake Police are reporting that a bank robbery occurred Wednesday morning at 10:45 a.m. at the Wells Fargo branch located at 821 Battlefield Boulevard.
Two armed suspects allegedly entered the bank wearing masks and dark clothing and demanded money.
Police say they received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank in a burgundy station wagon, headed towards Knells Ridge.
The investigation later led to the 700 block of Greentree Circle (Greentree Apartments) which is located near the bank.
The SWAT team arrived to clear one apartment. No suspects were located.
