Newport News, Va. - A Newport News man in jail on charges of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl has now been charged with additional crimes against another victim.
26-year-old Cornelius Overby was charged on Tuesday with forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and 4 counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Police say the charges stem from crimes that occurred in the late months of 2012 against a 7-year-old girl who was known to Mr. Overby.
The victim is now 8 years old.
Overby was already facing charges of sodomy, object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery, and indecent liberties with a child under 15 from the earlier case.
