Dare Co., N.C. – Three people have been arrested and charged with cocaine possession and/or distribution in Manteo, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard.
It happened on October 25, 2013. Members of the Dare County Narcotics Task Force conducted a narcotics investigation in Manteo.
Task Force officers were aided by numerous citizen complaints from the Wanchese Community.
Cocaine and marijuana were seized during the operation; three arrests were made.
Officers have arrested the following suspects:
20-year-old Juwan Cassidy Pugh of Dare County. Pugh is charged with the Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine; and Conspire to Sell or Deliver Cocaine. He is now in the custody of the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.
34-year-old Torrie Saunders Pugh of Dare County. Pugh is charged with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Cocaine; and Conspire to Sell or Deliver Cocaine. She is in the custody of the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond.
53-year-old Kimberly Sue Simerly of Kill Devil Hills. Simerly is charged with Conspire to Deliver Cocaine. She is now in the custody of the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $20,000 bond.
This investigation is ongoing. More arrests are expected.
