Suffolk man airlifted to hospital after getting hit by vehicle

Suffolk, Va. – A 20-year-old Suffolk man had to be airlifted to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Monday night.

Police say the accident occurred in the 460 block of Factory Street in the Downtown area of the city.

They say a person driving a Pontiac 4-door sedan called dispatch to report the accident at around 7:09 p.m. They stayed on the scene.

Rashee Lamarze Blount was taken to Sentara Norfolk General by Nightingale. He sustained non-life threatening injuries police say.

Police are still investigating this incident.
