Norfolk, Va. - A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car in a Norfolk intersection on Thursday.
Calls came in at around 5:40 p.m. about the incident.
According to police, this occurred at the Brambleton and St. Paul Blvd. intersection. They say the man on the bicycle was going eastbound on Brambleton Avenue crossing over St. Pauls Blvd. He was hit by a vehicle that was going west on Brambleton and making a left onto St. Pauls Blvd.
Both the car and the bicyclist had the green light.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. There was minor damage done to the vehicle and the bicyclist sustained minor injuries police say.
This accident is still under investigation. Charges are pending.
