He’s the King of Comedy and now Steve Harvey is making his mark as the King of Daytime Talk.

NewsChannel 3’s Laila Muhammad went to Chicago to take you on an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Steve Harvey Show and to find out why it’s a hit.

“I’ve been divorced, I’ve had great credit, bad credit, I’ve owned a business, lost a business, made a success of myself, been completely down and out and homeless,” he says.

Steve candidly talks about his struggle because it has brought him to this moment.

On the Steve Harvey Show, the King of Comedy uses his quick wit to give advice to everyday people with everyday problems. And Steve says that is why the show is a hit.

“Comedy comes in real handy because I have a skill set that only one other person on daytime TV has ,and that`s Ellen,” he says. “I decided to go the daytime route because my life has turned that way. That used to be my dream to be a late night host. I wanted Arsenio`s job from the moment he stopped being the host of late night.”

People turn to Steve for advice on everything from relationships to parenting.
