Morning runs from Ocracoke to Swan Quarter (7am) and Cedar Island (7:30am) have been cancelled, as well as the 7am run from Cedar Island to Ocracoke. That’s according to North Carolina Ferry System.
Ferries departing Hatteras to Ocracoke continue to leave on a ten minute delay to avoid meeting the returning boats in a shallow area of the channel.
Conditions are better in Currituck, officials say, so the Currituck-Knotts Island ferry is back on its regular schedule.
