Suffolk, Va. – Eight people are without a home after fire ripped through a Suffolk home on Wednesday.
Crews responded to the fire at a home in the 1200 block of Lake Kennedy Drive in the Lake Kennedy Estates neighborhood.
Calls came in about the fire at around 5:07 p.m.
When crews arrived, they saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the home.They searched the home and found that everyone was able to get out safely.
They say the home is a total loss. The Red Cross is now assisting the family which includes four children and four adults.
