Today we honor Staff Sergeant Nicholas Gaskins.
He's from Edenton, North Carolina.
He joined the Army in 2003 after graduating from Leesville Road high school in Raleigh.
He served three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
He's currently stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia where he is an instructor in the signal corp.
